All necessary conditions for the professional growth of scientific and pedagogical personnel have been created at the department.

The main directions of work of the department of CE and CS in recent years has been the development of automatic control systems, the modeling of systems, computer technology and non-traditional neural-like computing and control systems.

Among the scientific developments, it is worth mentioning the works connected with the development of theoretical bases for the construction of neuro-automatic network structures, conducted under the guidance and with the participation of the Professor, Dr.Sci.Eng. Filippenko I.G., who is the author of this new scientific direction.

The value of the new scientific direction lies in the fact that it lays the groundwork for constructing neural-automatic reliable, fault-tolerant and survivable networks of structures on which algorithms of various purposes, in particular, digital control algorithms, can be realized.

Within the framework of this direction, the University carried out research work on the following topics:

  1. "Development of the concept of building intelligent fault-tolerant and robust control systems".
  2. "Development of the concept of building neural networks and neurocomputer technologies for high-performance information processors".

The main conclusions from these studies are as follows:

The department is engaged in training highly qualified specialists through postgraduate study.

Student scientific society constantly works at the department. Annually students report at scientific conferences the results of their work, theses of which are published in the collection of scientific works of the University.
