The purpose of the study of the educational program is acquiring knowledge, skills and competences in the field of transport law (national and international), forwarding, stevedoring, tally, surveying and warehousing operations with various modes of transport. Mastering managerial, socio-economic, organizational, technical and technological skills in the interaction between carriers, forwarders and clients (ministries, departments, associations and commercial structures of different forms of ownership, irrespective of types of their activities) and their practical application. Mastering the principles of legal support of passengers and cargo owners in transport, industry, business structures, etc., in accordance with current regulatory legal acts. Particular focus is drawn to finding alternate options for forwarding services under conditions of possible constraints and crisis management.

The program is intended for those interested in acquiring knowledge in the field of management of legal and forwarding activities in the organization of domestic and international transportation by various modes of transport.
The program will be relevant and useful for those who plan to commit themselves to organizational and managerial activities in the field of transport technologies. Specialists-to-be will learn how to formulate the priority tasks of commercial services, plan their actions using the opportunities of law and business, prioritize taking into account technical, technological and legal aspects of the introduction of advanced elements of transport and forwarding services. The acquired knowledge can be used for effective personnel management, solving technical, legal and administrative tasks with respect to the features of domestic and international transportation.

• basic legal acts regulating the activity of transport in the domestic and international communication are studied;
• methods and means of complex analysis of the forwarding services market, stevedoring, tally, surveying and warehousing operations are studied;
• functions of management in the organization of transportation, as well as informational support of the parties involved in transportation are studied;
• design (reconstruction, rebuilding) of railway stations and junctions using modern automated systems is studied;
• organization and methods of choosing a reasonable technological process of delivery of goods by various modes of transport are studied;
• drawing up shipping documents for the delivery of cargo, as well as protection and convoy technology is studied;
• knowledge of the rules of transportation by different modes of transport, specific features of their use in domestic and international routes is acquired;
• skills of planning a carrier’s strategy, developing a case solution to overcome obstacles in transportation of goods are developed; features of transportation in case of sanctions and development of alternative transportation options are learnt;
• knowledge of specific features of the claim management in the field of transportation, including pre-litigation and litigation support of claims, is acquired.

Graduates of the specialization “Organization of legal and freight forwarding activity” can work in the following fields:
- regulatory and legal relations associated with transport activities (claim management, agreement management, commercial departments, etc.), as well as consulting services;
- transportation and forwarding activities (managers and specialists of forwarding, stevedoring, tally and consulting firms);
- major and industrial railway transport (in the structures of the commercial department of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC (procurement, access roads, agreement, marketing departments, etc.) and structures of inter-branch enterprises of industrial railway transport;
- freight forwarding and regulatory legal services for commercial entities.

More than 300 large and more than 1500 medium freight forwarding companies function in Ukraine, which require specialists in this field. This specialization allows actualizing not only in the transport industry, but also in business structures that are engaged in manufacture of material goods and executive management structures of different levels. Specialists in the transport law and forwarding services are among the most highly paid specialists both in Ukraine, and in countries of Europe, Asia and North America.
