The purpose of training on educational programs
The purpose of training on the program is obtaining knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of automatics and process flow automation, maintenance and repair of automation equipment and data transmission systems. Students learn how to apply the state-of-the-art hardware components (microprocessors, controllers, industrial computers) for process flow automation in industries and transport. Particular attention is paid to systems ensuring compliance with critical and dangerous operations (control of the train, prevention of dangerous situations), as well as the production management concentration systems.
Recipients of the educational program
The program is meant for applicants interested in obtaining knowledge in the field of automation and computer-integrated technologies in transport and other industries. The program will be interesting for those who are planning to commit themselves to the design, maintenance and operation of process flow automation and management concentration systems. The purpose is also building man-machine systems taking into account psychological characteristics of human information perception and behaviour in emergency and dangerous situations, as well as intelligent systems capable of self-recovery, self-diagnosis and prevention of dangerous situations in case of damage.
Training program provides a wealth of knowledge, skills and ability to use the knowledge and the formation of judgments:
  • basic principles of construction, design and maintenance of the railway automatics and telemechanics equipment;
  • methods of analysis, calculation and synthesis of main subsystems and functional units of the railway automatics and telemechanics equipment, short- and long-term ways and perspectives of the development of the systems;
  • methods of organization of automatics and telemechanics equipment maintenance, ensuring railway traffic safety during the repair of railway automatics and telemechanics equipment; search for faults and special measuring in railway automatics and telemechanics equipment;
  • railway maintenance rules, signaling directions, railway automatics and telemechanics equipment maintenance directions.
  • applying the acquired knowledge in general technical and general engineering subjects, knowledge of the methods of computer-aided analysis, calculation, synthesis and design of railway automatics and telemechanics equipment and its units, especially microprocessors and microcomputers;
  • organizing and performing maintenance, operation and repair of railway automation equipment, device adjustment;
  • developing individual elements and units of systems, supporting the specified operational reliability of functioning of railway automatics and telemechanics equipment, ensuring the required traffic safety under the specified traffic capacity of districts and stations;
  • leading a professional team, making independent decisions, developing and keeping technical documentation.
  • using standards, regulative and other materials on railway transport and system operation;
  • applying progressive methods and technologies, performing efficient organization of system operation;
  • monitoring performance of systems to improve them;
  • drawing up and keeping production, technical and accounting documentation;
  • calculation of the cost-effectiveness of organization, process engineering and project solutions being implemented;
  • using automated design systems and modern computing equipment;
  • evaluating technical condition of the equipment in operation, compliance with the safety, labour protection, ecology, and traffic safety requirements;
  • developing draft process documents for the current period, drawing up explanatory notes to them;
  • developing draft regulative documents.
