In 2017 the University launches a new speciality “Philology” by the educational program “Translation, English Language and Literature”. Translation is one of the major specializations in the sphere of Philology. The students will learn theoretical and practical aspects of scientific and technical translation, interlingual and intercultural communication. A specialist in translation, unlike a specialist in foreign languages, philology or linguistics is a professional who applies not only profound knowledge of a foreign and native language, but also extensive knowledge in engineering obtained during both studying at an educational establishment and practical training.

Prospective graduates will be able to work as translators and interpreters of English in various organizations including business enterprises, international establishments, as negotiators in business talks; to perform translation and interpretation, to organize and support information service, to work with scientific literature, to teach English for children and adult learners and to render other educational services.
