PhD in Sci. Eng. since 2003. The dissertation was defended in the specialized council D 64.820.04 at the Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport in specialty 05.22.20 “Operation and repair of transport vehicles”, diploma No. DK 020064.

Scope of scientific activity – international, mixed and intermodal transportation sing the resource-saving technologies, loading conditions, fastening and transportation of freight by rail.

Author of more than 50 scientific works. In his teaching and methodological activity, Associate professor D. Mkrtychyan published and prepared for publication more than 50 research, teaching and methodological works, including 6 instruction workbooks.
